Pledge chat is viewed by all players in the same Blood Pledge currently
Alliance Chat: Alliance chat is viewed by all players in an alliance with the FFXI Gil designation guardian knight. It is considered an upper level chat: those in an alliance with an apprentice or ordinary designation will not be able to see alliance chat.
Pledge Chat: Pledge chat is viewed by all players in the same Blood Pledge currently logged into the game - unless you have excluded the sender of the message from chatting with you.
Party Chat: Party chat is viewed by all players in the same hunting party currently logged into the game, unless the recipients have the sender excluded.
Note! All text used in all chat methods must adhere to the User Agreement and Rules of Conduct.
There is a 57-character limit for text submitted to Party Chat; including any color codes, spaces, and/or punctuation.
To submit text to party chat, preface the text you wish to broadcast by using the # symbol: #[Text of message you wish to submit to party chat]
If the text of the message submitted to Global/Pledge/Alliance/Party/Whispered Chat is not appended with a color code, the resulting color of the text will be the default Global/Pledge/Alliance/Party/Whispered Chat text color.
To use the \f color commands, preface the text you would like colored by \f*, where the denotes one of the following codes.
